Investing in the future.
The Gateway Project unites us in a shared vision to shape a university and campus that enhances lives and strengthens our community in dynamic new ways.
Over the past decade, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ has made significant investments in new and enhanced campus infrastructure projects including new residence halls and state-of-the-art academic facilities. These initiatives have greatly enhanced Butler’s academic excellence and student experience while making space for the growth of new programs that serve a broader set of learners and enrich the Midtown Indianapolis community.
The Gateway Project represents the next iteration of our long-term vision for Butler’s campus as a vibrant space where people can live, learn, work, and play. Driven by the Butler Beyond strategic vision, these current and future projects have the potential to make a generational transformation of the Butler campus, neighborhood, and surrounding community by expanding access to arts, entertainment, athletic, and educational opportunities.
Midtown Arts District
A visionary plan is underway to establish The Midtown Arts District as a site-specific Center for Performances and Lectures, Exhibitions, and Arts Education. This plan leverages Butler’s tremendous Arts assets, notably Clowes Memorial Hall, which in 2023 was the No.1 ticket-selling venue in the State of Indiana.
Ross Hall Hotel
Through a partnership with Curio Collection by Hilton, Butler’s Ross Hall will be transformed into a boutique hotel. This hotel will include over 100 rooms and offers a full suite of amenities including a restaurant and meeting spaces.
Founder’s College
Opening in fall 2025, Founder’s College at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ offers affordable, career-focused two-year associate degree programs for Central Indiana students with financial need.
Jay and Christie Kile Love University House
Butler has received a gift from Jay and Christie Kile Love to fund the construction of a new University House. It will serve as both a prominent, inviting venue for hosting fundraising and other community events and a home for future Butler presidents.
